Lawyer Admitted to Practice in Portugal and Brazil
I am Marcella Castellar, a lawyer since 2016, admitted to practise in Portugal by the Portuguese Bar Association (OA 63.021L) and in Brazil by the Brazilian Bar Association – Rio de Janeiro Section (OAB/RJ 210.011).
I provide legal advice to individuals, families, entrepreneurs, investors and companies with interests in Portugal and Brazil, particularly in matters requiring an understanding of both Portuguese and Brazilian legal systems.
My professional background combines legal education in both countries with international experience. My work is guided by a personalised, attentive, transparent and ethical approach.
Academic Background and International Experience
I obtained my law degree in Brazil and hold an MBA in Business Law from Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV) in Rio de Janeiro.
In 2019, my Brazilian law degree was formally recognised as equivalent in Portugal by Universidade Católica Portuguesa in Lisbon.
At the same institution, I completed a postgraduate programme in Legal Sciences.
I hold a Master’s degree in Business Law from the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon.
During my Master’s degree, I undertook a period of academic mobility at Ghent University in Belgium.
My education and experience in different countries allow me to understand more closely the challenges faced by individuals and companies who live, invest or maintain interests abroad, particularly between Portugal and Brazil.
